An analysis of the representation of corruption in selected Chase Skuza`s songs.

The study analyses the representation of corruption using Chase Skuza’s selected songs. In this study, the objective is to examine how corruption is depicted in Skuza’s songs. In attaining results in the study, Critical Discourse theory and content analysis were employed in analysing the lyrics of the songs. The findings of the study indicated that corruption is portrayed in different forms which include bribery, fraud, favouritism and abuse of power by community leaders. Furthermore, public officials are also included in the practise of corruption. It is also noted that the corrupt activities continue to rise due to the failure by government to punish the offenders.
